Introduction to Fermanagh - Belcoo
The small village of Belcoo in Northern Ireland, surrounded by interesting historical sites, lies on the border between Fermanagh and Cavan counties, and is just a stone's throw from the border with the Republic of Ireland. With the village just 10 miles from Enniskillen, Belcoo hotels are often used as bases by visitors wanting to explore its larger neighbour, which is connected to the community by road via the A4. Evidence of the former rail line that served the village from the late 1800s to the early 1950s can still be seen here in the form of the stationmaster's house, as well as homes constructed for train workers and their families. Enniskillen, built around a square known as the Diamond, is home to roughly 14,000 residents. Enniskillen Castle has stood in one form or another since the 16th century, and today houses Fermanagh County Museum. St Macartin's Cathedral, the town's other main sight, dates to the 17th century. other spellings: belcoohotels, belcoo otel, hotell belcoo, belcuo hote, hotesin bellcoo, belcou
