Introduction to Bangor, Northern Ireland
Bangor is a town in Northern Ireland on the shores of the Irish Sea, around 12 miles to the northeast of Belfast. It is popular with tourists for its coastal location, its beautiful historical areas and its close proximity to Belfast. Hotels in Bangor are concentrated in the north of the city, close to the coast. The beaches are mostly rocky, but beautiful, with the coastal roads of the area offering sea views and water-facing restaurants. Major attractions in the city include the abbey and Old Custom House.
