Eating Out

Eating Out and Dining Guide to Wellington
Cuba street, with its ethnic restaurants and cheaper cafes, caters to the bohemian crowd. The Waterfront is a very pleasant place to have a meal as many restaurants offer not only tasty meals but also great views of the stunning harbour.
If you have been partying from Friday and realise you are hungry at dawn on Saturday you may want to visit the Porirua market which opens from 05:00 to 09:00 on Saturday’s. The market has many food stalls that serve delicious Polynesian cuisine.
And native spinach fettuccine with salmon tossed with creamy bush tomato and macadamia sauce; Kangaroo fillet with Mountain Pepper and served with pepper berry dressing. Other favourite local dishes include damper a hard bread; Anzac biscuits which are hard biscuits that last for a long time and soldier’s cake which is boiled fruit cake.
