Wellington Travel Guide

Activities

Activities in Wellington
Shopping: is a pleasant experience in downtown Wellington which houses many malls, quaint shops and other retail outlets. Many arcades, malls and other shops selling all sorts of interesting items can be found at Lambton Quay.
Cuba Street offers an alternative shopping experience with several unique and funky shops. Another area that is very interesting to shop at is Willis Quarter with its art, book, gift and designer stores.
Swimming: many hotels have well designed pools, some are even heated. However, if your accommodation does not have a pool and you need a dip visit one of the many public pools in the city and the suburbs.
Eating out: Wellington is home to some excellent restaurants serving top class cuisine. These range from the trendy and stylish to the bohemian. The menus include both international and regional cuisine which is usually washed down with local wine.
