The airport has one terminal building that operates for both international and domestic flights. The major carriers operating here include Air New Zealand, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, and Korean Air. Air New Zealand operates numerous routes, both domestic and internationally with Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, Brisbane and Los Angeles.
The airport has a good selection of shops as well as the Antarctic Visitors Centre located just five minutes walk from the terminal building. There are banking and money exchange facilities as well as ATMs.

Transportation: Christchurch International Airport has adequate transportation links, with public buses, shuttle buses and taxis all available. There are two public bus routes serving the airport, the Airport Flyer takes the most direct route with a 30-minute journey time.
The Airport Flyer departs from the city centre every half hour and the public bus, number 10, travels from Harewood to Cashmere via the city bus exchange. Journey time is around 40 minutes, every half hour during the week and every hour at weekends.
There are a number of car rental options with Avis, Budget, Hertz New Zealand, Maui Rentals and Thrifty all represented at the airport.
Parking: Christchurch airport has ample parking with both long and short-term parking options available. The first 15 minutes in all car parks are free of charge. The airport is currently having a new 600-space multi storey car park built. This can cause slight delays, especially in the short-term car park.
