Auckland Travel Guide - Weather
Summers in the city are generally warm but by no mean scorching hot and visitors will rarely find temperatures uncomfortable; the increased humidity however can make it seem hotter than perhaps it really is. The summer months, lasting from December to March, generally see daily highs of around 20 to 23°C with rainfall volumes varying considerably from month to month.
The winter period sees the greatest amount of rain with July and August regularly seeing volumes of around 5.5 inches. Temperatures during this season hover around the 13 or 14°C so are by no means cold but would certainly necessitate a light jacket or a sweater after sundown.
