Introduction to Rotorua - Ngongotaha
Ngongotaha is a small town located on the western shores of Lake Rotorua. The town can easily reached from the city by heading north on Route 5. All Ngongotaha hotels are nestled around the shores of the lake, with great views. This area is very green and popular for being home to five parks. The Agrodome Leisure Park is a great day out with children. The Agrodome here features farm animals and showcases farm life in New Zealand. The Freefall Experience (a simulated bungee jump) and zorbing (rolling down a hill in an orb) are must-dos for adrenalin junkies. Boat trips on the lake are also fun, with a stop on Mokoia Island, which is located in the centre of the lake.
