Centrally located in town, the Residence Lake Tekapo Hotel enjoys an excellent setting with views overlooking Mount Cook and the lush alpine environment surrounding it. The shops, restaurants, and pubs of downtown Lake Tekapo are accessible in a few minutes on foot, while the rest of the attractions in Mackenzie Country and Aoraki Mount Cook can be reached by car. Scenic flights can be arranged for those who want to see the mountains and Mackenzie Basin from above. There are also organised visits to Salmon Farm and Clay Cliffs Winery. The hotel is close to the ski facilities of Tasman Glacier and Round Hill.
