The town of Orewa is found along the Hibiscus Coast, slightly north of the base of Whangaparaoa Peninsula on the North Island of New Zealand. This popular holiday destination is one of the country's fastest growing towns, with plenty for visitors to see and do while staying in Orewa hotels. At every traffic light on the main road, charming fountains greet motorists on their way to and from such local attractions as the Theosophical Society, the Centrestage Theatre or the Estuary Arts Centre, which regularly features the works of local artists. A statue of Sir Edmund Hillary stands close to the lovely old town bridge, under which the rushing Orewa River flows towards the local estuary and Eve's Bush.
