Introduction to Kaikoura, New Zealand
Kaikoura is a town on the northeast coast of New Zealand’s South Island. It is around 150kms up the coast from Christchurch. The picturesque town has a background of majestic mountains. There are numerous Kaikoura hotels on the town’s esplanade. Additional Kaikoura hotels are on the Kaikoura Peninsula, south of the town. Ocean birds, such as albatrosses, are also spotted in Kaikoura. Kaikoura hotels provide a base for trekking in the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains. A popular walking track meanders up the side of Mt Fyffe.
