A nice country hotel. The local area is world famous for gliding with records regularly set. Many very beautiful glacial lakes and the Mount cook national park in close proximity to the hotel. This is the land of outdoor adventure activities. Or a convenient place to stop and break the tour journey.

The rooms are tidy and in good condition. The majority of the bathrooms have shower over bathtub. there are a small number of disabled access rooms. Many of the rooms have excellent views over the local countryside. Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms are standard. Hairdryers are available at reception.

The hotel restaurant and bar are open for meals throughout the day, they serve predominantly fresh local cuisine.

This is a modern low rise building, originally built in the mid 1970's but extensively refurbished in the year 2000.
