Introduction to Christchurch - Burnside
Located towards the northeast of New Zealand's beautiful South Island, Burnside is a suburb of the island's largest city, Christchurch. The suburb is located just three kilometres southeast of the international airport and around five kilometres from the main city area. Transport links are excellent, with Memorial Avenue, running from the airport to the city, passing directly through Burnside. There are three recreational parks just off the main street and a golf course around three kilometres away in the direction of the city. The majority of Burnside hotels are located just off Memorial Avenue, in the direction of the airport, and are often frequented by businessmen flying between the North Island and the South Island.
