Introduction to Nijmegen, Netherlands
Nijmegen lays claim to being the oldest city in The Netherlands; in fact 2000 years old. It is situated on the border with Germany and enjoys one of the warmest climates of The Netherlands. Naturally, German language and German culture are a strong part of life here, including hotels in Nijmegen which are often Germanic style. The university of Nijmegen is very old and one of Europe’s most established educational institutions, though it has been over taken in recent decades by other universities in The Netherlands and in Germany. Nijmegen hotels are often located in walking distance to the Africa Museum of the Oriental Museum, which are both very popular tourist attractions. Nijmegen hotels tend towards the ornate and given that Nijmegen is located in the south of The Netherlands it does not seem to attract quite the same amount of young family visitors and backpackers and so the range of hotels here reflects this demographic spread.other spellings: nijmegen otel, nigmegen hotell, nijmejen hote, nijmeken hote, nijmecen hotles
