Bungee jumping: plunge into one of the world’s wildest and most beautiful rivers for a 150m free fall. Bungee jumps usually take place off a 166m-wide steel suspension bridge over the Bhoti Kosi River; about three hours drive from Kathmandu. Many jumpers continue their adventures with river rafting on the Bhoti Kosi River the next day, which features over 80 challenging rapids.
One-day hiking: you don’t need a seven day holiday to discover Nepal’s hiking pleasures. Get a local map, pack a small lunch and plenty of water, hire a local porter for your bags or carry them yourself, then head for any hills in Kathmandu valley.
