The airport is a single terminal building with a large wooden table serving as both customs and immigration. Facilities include one bank counter in the Departure Lounge and three bank counters at the Arrival Lounge. Duty free shopping facilities are available upon both arrival and departure at the airport.
Only foreign currencies approved by Nepal Rostra Bank are accepted. The HAN (Hotel Association of Nepal) Counter can make bookings for any hotel of your choice and will also provide you with pamphlets and other tourism materials. A post office is available, but no left luggage or pharmaceutical facilities to be found.
An Airport Tourist Bus shuttles passengers between Tribhuvan International Airport and Downtown Kathmandu. Many public buses stop just outside the airport and most go to central Kathmandu, to Ratna Park and the Old Bus Park.
Parking: is available within close proximity to the terminal and is excellent value.
