Health

Health for Visitors to Nepal
Most hospitals have English-speaking staff and larger hotels also have doctors. Pharmacies in Kathmandu offer a wide range of Western medicines and expert advice.
All tap water is potentially contaminated, making bottled water an absolute necessity. Milk is unpasteurised and should always be boiled before consumption. If you buy food from street vendors, make sure meat and fish is well-cooked before eating. Pork, salad and mayonnaise may carry an increased risk of bacteria.
