Buses: buses commuting in the city are often overly crowded and rundown, but they are the cheapest mode of transport. There are literally hundreds of bus routes throughout the city. Line cars are converted pick-up trucks which have had rows of seats installed and are also a popular way to get around the city.
Ferries: will cross the Yangon River and dock at the small town in Dalah. From here, passengers can get on to boats to Letkhokkhon Beach or Twante.
They travel to Bago four times a day; to Kyalkhto twice a day and to Thazi five times daily. There are also services to Bagan and Taunggyl.
Trishaws: the passenger sits side car style next to the driver as they weave their way through the streets. Trishaws have been banned in the city but many can be seen in front of the temples.
