Safety: women visitors who travel alone here are far safer than in many other southeast Asian countries although you should always avoid travelling on your own late at night. You should always keep an eye on your belongings when visiting crowded areas, especially markets, as there are many gangs of pickpockets operating here including gangs of children.
When to go: the best times to visit Myanmar is from March to mid May just after the heavy rains. The average temperature is about 30°C in the lower lying areas and about 24°C in the hills, but these temperatures do fluctuate depending on the regions within the country.

Ambulance: 19
Police: 199
Fire & Rescue: 191
Recommended hospital:

Business needs: the government has taken several steps to increase the private sector and allow foreign investors into the country. However, due to the sanctions imposed by many countries this has proved to be difficult. Myanmar is a member of the Association of South East Asian States (ASEAN) making it easier for ASEAN countries to operate businesses from here.
