Introduction to Ngapali, Myanmar
Ngapali hotels are now part of a town that is called Thandwe in Burma. The urban centre in the south west corner of the country was called Sandoway by the British and Ngapali beach is located around 7kms from the centre of town. Despite the many changes of name of the centuries Ngapali retains its status as the most popular beach in the country. Many hotels in Ngapali overlook the Indian Ocean and this is not very difficult to do considering that the entire beach town faces the Indian Ocean. This is not a very high rise part of the world however and most hotels are only two or three stories high. This means that even back from the beach, good views are available. Ngapali hotels are all beach oriented and casual architecture and a laidback service style are what visitors tend to find here in town.
