Introduction to Inle Lake, Myanmar
Not to be confused with Tonle Sap lake in nearby Cambodia, Inle Lake is the second largest lake in Burma and it rests in the Shan Hills. Hotels in Inle Lake will strive to provide you with a room that overlooks the lake and its calming waters but of course these views can never be guaranteed. Many hotels in Inle Lake enjoy the rolling mists that come in off the lake at all times of the year. It is a very lovely way to take breakfast on your private room terrace with only the treetops near the lake poking through the top of dense mists that appear and then vanish with no real warning or apparent cause. Inle Lake hotels are a diverse and eclectic bunch and you can choose to spend or save as much money as you wish.
