Introduction to Oualidia, Morocco
Oualidia is a lovely town situated centrally on Morocco's Atlantic coast. It has beautiful beaches which are perfect for swimming as there are no strong currents as well as a large bird population. Oualidia is also an excellent place to surf, and it is possible to take surfing lessons here and hire equipment such as surfboards. There are many sand dunes near to the beach and a company in the town that hires out quad bikes, making it possible to ride along the dunes and the cliffs. The town has a good selection of Oualiada hotels near the beach as well as campsites. There are many places to eat Moroccan food, like couscous semolina dishes and tajines stews. There are places on the beach serving delicious seafood dishes including the local oysters. The town is easy to get to, and well connected to the main Moroccan cities by bus or grand taxi.
