Fnideq is a popular town in northern Morocco that is located just over 31 kilometres from the much-loved Tetouan. Looking at a map, one will see that the coastal areas of Fnideq are practically touching southern Spain, which explains the clear Spanish influences in the area. There are also many crossings offered here between the two countries. Although there isn't much for tourists to do in Fnideq, hotels are incredibly cheap and there is easy access to many of the great beach towns located nearby. Most of the time, visitors choose to take a grand taxi M'qid - or 'Rincon' in Spanish - to the harbor area to try their hand at fishing. For those that do not consider themselves adept fisherman, there are always the divine seafood restaurants that have made this region famous across Morocco and Spain. Thankfully, getting around in the grand taxis is not particularly expensive and shouldn't make a big impact upon the visitor's budget.
