Introduction to Casablanca - Gare Casa Port
The western Moroccan city of Casablanca lies along the Atlantic coastline and is the country's chief port and largest city. This great port is man-made and includes the Royal Moroccan Navy's primary base as well as Casablanca's second rail station, Gare Casa Port, serving commuter and local lines in and around the city. The station is set between Route de Rabat and Boulevard Ibn al Oanane, just to the north of the built-up area containing the Gare Casa Port hotels a short distance from the city centre and its small Medina. Hotels in the district range from two- to five-star, giving a good choice at all price levels. This district of Casablanca gives convenient rail access to the airport as well as to the city centre from the nearby train station. The massive port itself is a popular tourist destination, especially for its small fishing port and marina, and the Hassan II Mosque.
