Introduction to Zihuatanejo - City Centre
Known for its bay and beaches, Zihuatanejo lies on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, a couple of hours north of Acapulco. This old fishing town retains much of its seafaring atmosphere but also blends in a healthy dose of tourist-centred amenities. Its waterfront walkway called the Fisherman's Path is a wonderful pedestrian area running along the main public beach between the fishing pier and the archaeological museum. The walkway is lined with seafood restaurants and shops selling many kinds of trinkets and souvenirs. There's no traditional plaza in Zihuatanejo, but its Crafts Market has more than 250 shops selling an amazing array of interesting handicrafts. The town's port area is arguably the most interesting place to hang around. Fishermen still motor in and out each day with their catch. Zihuatanejo City Centre hotels are mostly mid-range and budget affairs, and while they may not overawe you with luxuries and design, they are usually comfortable and friendly places to stay.other spellings: zihuatanejohotels, zihatanejo otel, zihotanejo hotell, zihatanjo hote, sihuatanejo
