Introduction to Queretaro, Mexico
The historical centre of Queretaro contains some of the most amazing buildings in Mexico. The Church of San Francisco, with its ornate bell tower, dominates the city skyline and it, along with its convents and orchards, occupies several blocks of the main town centre. Queretaro hotels clamour to be as near as possible to the Church and naturally, the closer to the main town sight, the more expensive the rooms. Surprisingly, some hotels in Queretaro are located very close to the Church but are very small pensions and family run guesthouses and so prices at these places remain modest and low. Other Queretaro hotels are close to the Museo Regional (Regional Museum) which houses an entire monastery of its own. The Palacio de la Corregidora is where the state government sits. The state is also called Queretaro and the city of Queretaro is the state capital. Large aqueducts are still standing in most parts of the city and some are still in working order, and in use.other spellings: queretarohotels, queretaro otel, qeuretaro hotell, qeuretalo hote, qeuretalo hotes
