Introduction to Monterrey - Airport
Monterrey Airport, otherwise known as General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, serves the city of Monterrey in northeast Mexico. There are few airports in North America that are more modern than this one, which handles around five million passengers every year. Terminal A is the oldest terminal, yet it still handles many of the airport's domestic and international flights. Terminal C opened in 2006 and caters to the budget carrier VivaAerobus. The final terminal to open was Terminal B, in 2010. This modern terminal will be used by Aeromexico Connect as well as other airlines which will transfer from Terminal A. The two main airlines serving the airport offer flights to a wide range of destinations. Each terminal works separately from the others, offering its own taxi, bus and car rental services. The airport is around 30 minutes from the city centre by taxi so passengers arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning might want to consider using Monterrey Airport hotels.Visit our Monterrey Travel Guide
