Introduction to Mexico City - Alvaro Obregon
The greater Mexico City region is one of the world's largest metropolitan areas. Therefore, it's no surprise that visitors have plenty of choice when it comes to choosing a place to stay. One borough that visitors may consider is Alvaro Obregon. Alvaro Obregon hotels are most convenient for travellers entering the city from the southwest. The borough used to be known as San Angel and the San Angel neighbourhood retains this historical name. San Angel is the most interesting neighbourhood in Alvaro Obregon; it hosts a number of upmarket boutiques and trendy restaurants. In addition, its famous arts market is well worth a visit. The neighbourhood is also considered one of the wealthiest areas in Mexico City. Travellers heading to this neighbourhood can get here by Metrobus, alighting at La Bombilla. The Metrobus runs along Insurgentes Avenue from the city centre. Otherwise, travellers can take metro lines 3 or 5, alighting at Miguel Angel or Barranca del Muerto stations respectively.Visit our Mexico City Travel Guide
