Introduction to Culiacan, Mexico
The city of Culiacan sits on the junction between the Tamazula River and Humaya River.

It forms the Culiacan River which lies smack bang in the middle of this state.

The climate in the area remains relatively warm throughout the entire year, but summer months bring humid conditions and heavy rain at times, so travel to the precinct during these periods is not recommended.

Hotels in Culiacan range from very basic guesthouses, to moderately sized resort style lodgings that offer a sufficient amount of amenities for guests.

The establishments are also located close to the international airport, which stands a few kilometres outside the downtown.

Getting around to the city's main attractions can be difficult at times due to the heavy traffic experienced along the generally narrow city roads.

It is suggested that tourists stay in the properties close to the city centre, to avoid long distances and unwanted delays.

The main attractions include The Centro Cultural Genaro Estrada, Regional History Museum, Botanical Gardens and the Science Museum.
