Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa - Black River

Fronting a white sand beach and surrounded by verdant greenery, the Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa in Black River is a prestigious holiday base ideally located for big game fishing, scuba diving, and world class golfing. It is close to a number of national parks on the island, including Casela Yemen Nature Park, Black River Gorges, and Chamarel. Plenty of water sports like laser sailing and kayaking can be arranged on site. Guests have a choice of two dining outlets, in addition to 24-hour villa service. The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring an international menu with a local touch. For more intimate dining, dinner can also be arranged in private gazebos in the garden, with a supplement. Another restaurant is located on the opposite side of the resort and features a Pan Asian/ Indian menu, with a teppanyaki bar.

The open-air lobby area is large and serene, offering individual check-in desks, rather that one large reception counter.

The resort is comprised of individual villas constructed in typical colonial Mauritian architecture, with added Indian and African touches, spread over 27 acres. Although each villa features an individual plunge pool, guests may also choose to relax at the main pool overlooking the beach
