Relaxing: being somewhat calmer than the rest of this stretch of coast, St George’s Bay beach makes an ideal spot to relax after a night of partying in Paceville. The best times to come are at the beginning or the end of the summer season in April, May, September and even October when the weather is usually still warm and the crowds have disappeared.
Diving: with its small beach and clear waters, St George’s Bay and its surrounding area is a designated scuba diving and snorkelling spot. Most hotels will be able to provide more information, including where to go for equipment hire.
Gambling: about a quarter of an hour on foot is all it takes to reach two casinos at St Julian’s Bay: Portomasso and Dragonara offer the usual selection of games like roulette, slot machines and black jack.
