Typical flight times include about 20 hours from the US, 12 hours from Europe, seven hours from Tokyo and about two hours from Bangkok.
There is just the one terminal which also has a satellite building to extend flights; the Aerotrain connects the satellite with the terminal in minutes. Passenger facilities at KLIA are outstanding and include: cash machines in Arrivals and Departures, a bank, bureaux de change, a post office, and left luggage services.
Facilities for the disabled are also good where ramps, lifts, adapted, wheelchair-accessible toilets and telephones and reserved car parking spaces are all in place. Information desks and a visitor’s service centre are also provided.

Transportation: in getting to the city from the airport is good, with reliable trains and buses and a quality expressway for drivers. The fastest and most efficient way to get to KL from the airport is to make use of the KLA Ekspres rail service, which goes directly to the KL City Air Terminal (KLCAT) in Kuala Lumpur's Sentral Station.
Another excellent rail service for those who may be travelling to the satellite towns of Salak Tinggi, Putrajaya/Cyberjaya and Bandar Tasik Selatan is the KLIA Transit high speed commuter train. The KLCAT departs the airport and KL every 30 minutes (from 05:32 to 00:32) and takes just 37 minutes to reach the city centre, including the stops.
A cheaper transport option to KL from Kuala Lumpur International Airport is to take a bus. You will find the airport bus station on the ground floor of the covered car park in Block C and buses depart here for KL and Nilai KTM Komuter station throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased from ticket counters in the Arrivals hall and from the bus station counters (06:30 to 23:30).
Parking: short-term and long-term parking options are available at KLIA, where blocks B and C provide covered short-term car parking. The car park is linked to the terminal building, as well as the Pan Pacific Hotel from level 2.
