Once an important centre for the nation's tin and rubber industries, Puchong is today a major town in Malaysia's state of Selangor. Though many other industries have flourished in and around the town, Puchong is still only connected to other parts of the country via road, the biggest highway being the E11 expressway. Using the expressways, Kuala Lumpur is less than 30 minutes away to the north. To the south, Kuala Lumpur International Airport is a similar distance away. Other key regional communities, such as Subang Jaya, are only minutes away. The area offers an impressive range of parks, rivers and small lakes. The biggest concentration of wetlands and parklands is found less than 30 minutes to the south at Putrajaya.
