Introduction to Pangkor - Beach
A real gem off Peninsular Malaysia's west coast, Pangkor Beach makes for a perfect spot to get away from it all, indulge and bliss out on the island of the same name. The thoroughly rural area is a comfortable three-hour drive from the capital of Kuala Lumpur followed by a 30-minute ferry journey through the calm waters of the Straits of Malacca. Pangkor Beach hotels are surrounded by virgin rainforest hills. The beach is made up of soft white sand. The waves are mild thanks to the tempering effect of Sumatra Island.
