Introduction to Pahang, Malaysia
Pahang is one of Malaysia’s largest states, located on the country’s peninsular area relatively near to the capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is in the west of the peninsula, and has a beautiful area of coast, which draws many visitors every year. The state capital is Kuantan, on the coast towards the northern end of the state. The best hotels in Pahang are located in Kuantan, ranging from luxurious high rise hotels, budget rooms and mid-range guesthouses. Malaysia’s largest national park, Taman Negara, is an amazing swath of virgin rainforest in the north of the region. The Genting Highlands and Cameron Highlands are both cool ex-British hill stations with a thriving tourism and tea-growing scene. The coastal area of Pahang is dominated by miles of untapped beaches. The capital Kuantan is also along this coast, but the selection of beach resorts is still quite thin. Offshore are some of the country’s finest tropical islands like Pulau Tioman with its amazing coral reefs.other spellings: phahang otel, paheng hotell, pahung hote, phahung hotes
