Introduction to Kuala Lumpur - Seri Kembangan
Seri Kembangan, once known as Serdang New Village, is a town in Selangor State, Malaysia. It can be viewed from the Southern Route of the North-South Expressway. Despite being established only relatively recently, in 1952, Seri Kembangan has several attractions. These include a large market, Mines Resort City and Equine Park township. The ritzy Palace of the Golden Horses, a five-star hotel, is worth checking out, even if spending the night there is out of reach economically. The festive Pasar Malam (Night Market) is held every Monday. The hip hangouts of Southcity Plaza and Universiti Putra Malaysia are located nearby. Seri Kembangan hotels are easily found and offer decent deals to travellers. The town has about 2,500 houses, including a few original wooden homes which date to the city's founding.
