Introduction to Kuala Lumpur - Sentral
Kuala Lumpur's Sentral is an area centered around Kuala Lumpur's largest train station, also called Sentral. It features many examples of modern skyscrapers which are used as office spaces, condominiums and world-renowned hotels. In this area of the city, there is little to see in the way of attractions, but it provides a good base to get to other parts of the city. The shopping in Sentral is exceptional as it has all kinds of retail outlets as well as other services visitors might need to use. Staying in this area allows tourists to get to attractions such as the National Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum with ease. The Golden Triangle, which has both shopping and decent restaurants, is close by. Here, visitors can visit the Petronas Twin Towers, which until recently was the largest building in the world. For day excursions from Sentral, consider heading to Sunway Lagoon, a water park which can be reached by bus or taxi.
