Introduction to Johor Bahru - Straits of Johor
The Straits of Johor, also referred to as the Tebrau Strait, divides Malaysia's Johor State and the city-state of Singapore. Many tributaries flow into the Straits of Johor, such as Sungai Tebrau, Sungai Segget and Sungai Haji Rahmat. Straits of Johor hotels put Singapore tantalisingly within reach after a good's night sleep. Two bridges span the short divide between the two countries. The Johor-Singapore Causeway, best known just as the Causeway, connects Malaysia's Johor Bahru with Woodlands in Singapore. To the west, the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link spans the strait between Gelang Patah in Johor and Tuas in Singapore. Besides serving as an international border, the straits form a nice enough waterway in their own right. This is best detected in Lido Beach on the Malaysian side of the straits. This is a pretty two-kilometre expanse of beachfront that is good for walking or cycling. Typical Malaysian snacks and specialities are sold here.other spellings: straits of johorhotels, straits of johor otel, strait of johor hotell, strit of joher hote
