Essential Info for Luxembourg
A little care and mindfulness will ensure that you don’t have any accidents or fall foul of any ill-intentioned individuals during your stay. Exercise caution with regards to cash and valuable personal items while out in public, especially in busy places and in the capital city. It’s wise not to travel alone late at night on public transport if you are female and it’s sensible for all to avoid unlit and sparsely populated areas of the city after sunset.
When to go: from a weather perspective, Luxembourg can be visited just about any time of the year as it experiences a moderate climate with no extremes of temperature. The summer season of course, sees the warmest weather but it’s certainly not hot with average temperatures rarely exceeding 20°C.
Money: the Euro is the official currency of Luxembourg and is made up of 100 cents. Notes are available in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 Euro while coins come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 euro cents and also in 1 and 2 euro coins.
Language: French, German, and Luxembourgish (a Franconian language of the Moselle region with similarities to German) are all considered official languages in Luxembourg, which can be somewhat confusing for visitors.

Business needs: visitors from Schengen countries will find doing business or setting up a business in Luxembourg, considerably easier than those from non-Schengen countries. Special permits and visas are required in both cases but red tape is considerably less in the former case.
