Introduction to Bzommar, Lebanon

Bzommar (Bzoummar) is an idyllic village surrounded by snowy, pine-covered mountains in the heart of Lebanon. Northeast of Beirut, the village is famous for housing the Convent of the Armenian Catholic Church, a Patriarchate complex dating back to the 18th century. On the edge of town is a system of caves containing an archaeological museum that features rare 14th century manuscripts and relics. The geological wonder of the Jeita Grotto captivates visitors with its amazing stalactites and stalagmites.
