The Lao National Museum: contains exhibits that tell of the country’s struggle against the invasive attentions of the Siamese, French and Americans. The second floor holds the most significant artefacts with unusual items such as Kaysone Phomvihane's chest expander and socks that were worn by Politburo members at the time that broke out of prison. Other rooms contain exhibits relating to post-revolutionary Laos with appropriate photographs pertaining to the subject. Open daily from 08:00 to 16:00.
