Amman Travel Guide

Weather

Weather in Amman
The best times to visit the Jordanian capital are certainly between September and November when the temperature drops and skies usually remain blue and free of rain.
The wet season usually kicks in at the end of November lasting until about March but rainfall here is nothing compared to the monsoon season in the subcontinent and Southeast Asia, so don’t expect your holiday to be a washout at this time of year. December and January can see temperatures drop to zero so bring warm clothes.
Temperatures often climb above 40 degrees Celsius at this time but humidity is low so you won’t get that sticky feeling, only the sense you are being slow-baked. This time of year sees the lowest number of tourists in the city as most people will usually head for the Red or Dead seas to cool off.
