Eating out: although Westerners may take a while to get used to the local food, it’s best sometimes to just plunge in and get the bad stomachs over and done with as early as possible.
Certainly the local restaurants are fantastic with lively atmospheres and good food at outrageously low prices. Mix and match with the upmarket restaurants that almost always serve alcohol for the best taste of Amman.
With quiet pools for a swim or rides including water slides, rapids and wave machines, the park attracts huge numbers of families with children. Restaurants and other facilities onsite means it is easy to spend a whole day here.
Golf: golf hasn’t taken off as a sport in Jordan as it has in many other countries, neither is the country being touted as a golfing venue but still there is an intriguing little course nine miles outside of Amman that is sure to be a unique experience for any visiting player.
