Introduction to Madaba, Jordan
Madaba is a small town in Central Jordan best known as the home of the Madaba Map, a 6th-century mosaic showing Jerusalem and the Holy Land at that time in history. The Madaba Archaeological Park is where you can go to see the mosaic firsthand, along with other interesting ruins and artwork from that era. The town is a short drive from sights such as the Dead Sea and Ma'in Hot Springs. Mount Nebo, the spot where Moses first saw the Promised Land, is just 10 minutes away.
