Introduction to Amman - Airport
Amman is the capital and largest city of Jordan, a beautiful metropolis built of white stone and full of regional treasures. The Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the gateway to the country, located 45 minutes south of the downtown area. The two passenger terminals receive flights from all over Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East. Royal Jordanian Airlines is the national airline that serves the Amman airport, with flights coming in from as far as Chicago, New York, Bangkok and Honk Kong. Additionally, the airport is used by a number of foreign carriers such as Air France, airBaltic, Lufthansa, BMI, Egypt Air, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Delta Airlines. Air Arabia connects Jordan to cities all over the Middle East, and easyJet now offers flights to London thrice weekly. Amman airport hotels can be reached by taxi or the Airport Express bus service, which also transports passengers to the city terminal downtown. Future expansion plans include building a new terminal and linking the airport to the city by rail.Visit our Amman Travel Guide
