Introduction to Amman - 5th Circle
The 5th Circle is major road junction in the capital of Jordan, Amman. It is situated in West Amman, between the city's financial centre and an upmarket residential district. Nowadays, it is considered to be the city's main hotel district. It is also home to one of the leading hospitals in the Middle East, the Arab Medical Centre. Some of the most luxurious 5th Circle hotels have a breathtaking hillside location, offering panoramic views of the city below. Travellers can get here by flying to Queen Alia International Airport, around 22 miles to the south of the district. As such, airport transfers should not take much more than 40 minutes. Amman's cultural and historical attractions are all within easy reach. Zahran Street runs east to west, lined with eight main junctions (circles). From the 5th circle, guests should head east and exit at the 1st or 2nd circles, in order to reach the capital's old town (Al Balad). Here, visitors can explore the narrow lanes and alleys, all lined with traditional cafes and shops.
