Osaka Travel Guide
Bunraku: is the art of Japanese puppetry and Osaka has been its spiritual home for many centuries. It first became popular during the Edo period when it was considered a form of entertainment for the working class people. The National Bunraku Theatre is one of the few places where you can still see a performance.
IMAX Cinema: located next to the aquarium, this is the largest IMAX screen in the world and offers a great selection of films. Headphones with English commentary are available. Kids especially will enjoy this as one place on your itinerary while in Osaka.
Universal Studios Japan: is the best place to head to if you are visiting with the family. It’s based on the theme park in the USA and many of the rides are the same. It’s not exactly a cultural activity but if you’re looking for good, clean fun that lasts all day long, or several days, then a visit here is sure to be enjoyable.
