Introduction to Yamanashi, Japan
Yamanashi is a central based prefecture in the Chibu region of Honshu Island. It is incredible popularity with tourists both around Japan and the rest of the world. Yamanashi hotels include all the types of accommodation and can be found in the three main cities of Kofu, Otsuki and Hokuto. While Kofu is the prefecture’s capital, Otsuki is known for its hiking possibilities and is quite near Tokyo for those that wish to use it as a secondary base for taking regular trips in and out of the Japanese capital. For those that are visiting in the winter and wish to enjoy sports such as skiing, it is well worth staying in Hokuto and taking trips into Nagano, which was host of the 1998 Winter Olympics and still has the stadiums that were specifically built for hosting the event.
