Introduction to Tokyo - Meguro
Meguro is one of Tokyo’s hippest suburbs, and features a number of excellent restaurants, bars, and boutique clothing stores. It is therefore little wonder that some of the best hotels in Tokyo are found in and around the Meguro area. One of the most picturesque places to find accommodation in the district is along the Meguro River. Kakinokizaka, one of Tokyo’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, is also found here. This is a popular place for both locals and foreigners in the know to come and enjoy exclusive little bars, as well as some of the most exquisite shops in Tokyo. Meguro-dori is the main road in Meguro, and is lined with designer shops and large department stores. The district is a lovely place to come in spring, when the street is filled with cherry blossoms. As the home of most of the city’s foreign embassies, the area sees a lot of tourist traffic, as well as culture buffs en route to the Meguro Museum of Art, Tokyo.Visit our Tokyo Travel Guide
