Introduction to Tokyo - Chiyoda - Bunkyo
Chiyoda and Bunkyo are two of Tokyo's special wards. Together they house the main attractions within this famous city. Located next to each other, the wards offer abundant Chiyoda Bunkyo hotels which can be used as bases for visiting the incredible landmarks within these areas. Chiyoda is where the impressive Imperial Palace one of Japan's most visited attractions can be found. Within the palace area are plenty of other places of interest to visit, such as the lovely Kitanomaru Park and the notorious Yasukuni Shrine, which holds the remains of over two million souls killed in Japan's wars. The National Museum of Modern Art is located in Chiyoda, as is the National Theatre of Japan. Bunkyo, which translates to 'Capital of Culture', is just north of the palace and home to the University of Tokyo and Dome City, a massive complex consisting of a shopping mall, an amusement park, a bowling alley and a sports and events stadium.Visit our Tokyo Travel Guide
