Introduction to Tochigi, Japan
Tochigi is in the Kanto region of Japan and is easily reached from Tokyo. Attractions in the area include Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. Tochigi hotels are located in each of the 14 cities of the prefecture, so there’s a huge choice for visitors. The natural attractions of the region bring tourists from both Japan and abroad. In Nikko there are spectacular waterfalls and nature trails as well as Shogun shrines. The capital city of the prefecture is Utsunomiya, where a large Nissan factory and Utsunomiya Castle are situated. This city is allegedly the best place in the prefecture to dine on gyoza, local dumplings. Kinugawa, best known for its hot springs and theme parks, draws hordes of domestic visitors. The prefecture’s star attraction - Nikko, and its World Heritage temples and burial spots, is a must-visit for culture buffs and offers hiking in the nearby national park.other spellings: tochigihotels, toshigi otel, tachigi hotell, tachigi hote, tahigi hotes
